Cancellation & REFUND POLICY

At Legum Lex, we strive to provide the best legal services to our clients. We understand that circumstances may arise which necessitate the cancellation of services or requests for refunds. Please review our Cancellation and Refund Policy below.

1. Consultation and Appointment Cancellation

  • Client-Initiated Cancellations: Clients may cancel their scheduled appointments or consultations by providing at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within this timeframe will be eligible for a full refund or rescheduling at no additional cost.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a cancellation fee of 60% of the service fee. The remaining amount will be refunded to the client.
  • No-Show Policy: If a client fails to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

2. Service Cancellation by Legum Lex

  • Rescheduling or Cancellation by Legum Lex: In the event that Legum Lex needs to reschedule or cancel a scheduled service, clients will be offered an option to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund.

3. Refund Policy for Digital Services

  • Non-Refundable Services: Certain digital services, such as legal document review and drafting, are non-refundable once the service has commenced. 
  • Partial Refunds: For digital services that have been partially completed, a partial refund may be issued at the discretion of Legum Lex, based on the amount of work completed.

4. Legal Aid Services

  • Legal aid services, which are offered at the lowest cost and sometimes free of charge, may incur charges to cover unavoidable costs. These charges are borne by the client and are non-refundable.

5. Refund Process

  • Initiating a Refund: To initiate a refund, clients must contact Legum Lex at support@legumlex.com or submit a request online  and provide relevant details, including the reason for cancellation and proof of payment.
  • Refund Approval: Upon receiving a refund request, Legum Lex will review the request and notify the client of the approval or rejection of the refund within 7 business days.
  • Refund Method: Approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment. Clients should allow 7-10 business days for the refund to appear in their account.

6. Dispute Resolution

  • Contact Us: If clients have any disputes or concerns regarding cancellations or refunds, they are encouraged to contact Legum Lex at support@legumlex.com for resolution.
  • Mediation: In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

7. Changes to This Policy

Legum Lex reserves the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Clients are encouraged to review this policy periodically for updates.
